Getting Ready...

I have 3 craft shows coming up that are back to back, so I have been busy. And since I now have my new camera I grabbed some pix tonight to share with you all.

I love my little primitive sign...Give Thanks...
I think this one is great...but I'm kinda partial...

If you remember last year I made much bigger ones of these last year and will make some this year too if I can get myself out there...but for those who wouldn't want a bigger one, a smaller one for the interior...

This one just needs a little girl's name in the middle...

this one I made for my me and I have hung it above my son's pictures in my living room...
for Christmas....

I have never been at painting faces so please use your imagination with this one, and the black square is a chalk board so you can count down the days till Christmas!

And last but not least, for fall this cute painted canvas...

and this is what I have been working on lately. Hopefully more to come soon!

Too much of a good thing...

can be a bad thing. I was given the task of making a diaper bag for someone. Basically my understanding was that they weren't sure what they wanted and wanted it to be fairly plain. No theme or anything. I struggled with this because I could not envision it. That's right, I said it, I can't make something unless I can envision it in my mind's eye. I had just about decided to just make something and pray that it turned out ok, then finally, FINALLY it came to me and this is what I created.I think it turned out very cute. Then, I was looking around on the web today and found this...Courtesy of Pottery Barn Kids. Looks kinda similar don't ya think. Mine is a bit larger than theirs and has pockets on the inside. (Which I am not sure if this one does or not, the description didn't say.) But I thought that it was neat that I made something comparable to PBK! Let me know what you think!

Camo Creations

I don't normally buy camo stuff. In fact hardly if ever. Jaxon may own a pair of camo pants for the fall, I'm not sure, but I had a special order for this apron and I went from there.

This handsome men's apron with his name in "hunter orange" should make any hunter happy.

Then I had some left over fabric...oh what to do!? You should know by now how my mind runs wild, so I called my cousin and aunt who are familiar to the hunting scene (as I have never stepped foot into the wild with gun in hand to kill something and drag it home) and asked for some opinions. And here is what I came up with...

There is also a child's apron with "Daddy's Little Grill Mate" embroidered on it, but my computer and photo editing software don't like to work very well together. So I will get it up as soon as I can. But for now, I hope you like my little camo creations!

Name Change

In case you haven't noticed....I have had a name change. I have been wanting my own website for a while now and I have a very sweet friend who is working on it for me. But in the meantime I wanted to start making my new name known. I will be setting up a Petal Picking Designs Etsy shop hopefully this weekend and will close out The Daisy Chain after everything has expired on it. Everything thing is still the same, just my name has changed.

Please note the Facebook fan page has also changed so click on the link on the side and join!

Thank you! New stuff to come soon as I am working hard to get a lot of stuff made for all these craft shows I have coming up!

Bunko Gifts

My Mom and I are members of Bunko groups, an extremely fun dice game. The one she is in gives prizes to the winners. As one of her gifts the lady that wins will get to choose the mug with her initial. Since we can't predict who would win, I got to stitch up 9 of these things. I think they turned out really cute.

Since I have a number of craft shows coming up, I will have to make up a lot of these, so I hope this will get me off to a good start......unless the ladies decide to buy the leftover ones!

Support your team!

With a few short weeks away from kick off and a few short weeks past my friends birthday, I finally got her birthday present made. This is made from some leftover fabric that I made a diaper bag out of here. Brooke fell in love with it and she is lucky that I had just enough to make this for her.
Happy (late) Birthday my sweet friend! I hope you enjoy!

Wristlet Take 2!

Ok, so I tried and again and success! I am so excited about it. I will get my friend Jamey to give it a product review when she gets a chance. She was my inspiration behind the wristlet. Like most moms, we tend to replace our purses with diaper bags. And since she is a mom on the go, I was trying to figure out a way to help her still have a "purse" but also be able to toss it in the diaper bag. And thus my version of the wristlet was born. So here it is dear friend! Something made just for you!

There will be a new purse up tomorrow so make sure you check back. This one will be made for my good firend Brooke who so badly wants an Auburn purse made by me.
